الخلاصة:
The research in this humble work aims at analyzing the subject of t Meeting of 
Cultures or The Intercultural in   The Mother of Spring by Driss Chraibi.
This research leads to determine the theoretical frame which represents some
ideas  concerning  the  subject  and  the nature  of  the  novel,  according   to   the 
works of theorists  and critics,  by giving a model of social critique as a 
theoretical ground for our studies. Thanks to this research, we can determine 
the kind of the cultural relationships in the novel and also the results of 
this interaction. Therefore, we‟ve  studied all kinds of the dual relationships 
throughout the  novel‟s    characters  who have different cultures,  by studying 
their   actions  ,  their  reactions  and  also  the  influence  on  people  via   their 
friendships and conflicts.
Some historical characters represent    their people‟s orientations , that‟s 
why  we have  deduced that  there is  a sense of conflicts and harmony from 
time to  time.  From another hand, we‟ve  spotlighted on  the  encouragements of 
this  iteraction  and the resources of the cultural memory which enables us 
to discover the positive   value that Chraibi gave to woman for her important 
role in the novel  which contributed to save the cultural heritage and the 
collective memory. In addition, to  her position    among men  contrary to
her picture given  in the novel of “The Past Simpleŗ.
The  study of  different cultural practices  in  the novel allows  us  to  analyze
some verbal cultural phenomena and mythical beliefs and also to decode 
the symbols especially frequent names and symbolical numbers in the 
trio of Chraibi particularly in this novel.
Finally,  we  have  tried  to look at  the total nove l, thus    to    know to what 
extent    Chraibi„s cultural    resources  influence    his writing  .Moreover    , the 
cultural diversity in the novel which reflects  a sense of conflict and 
harmony has  an  ideological backgrounds, Chraibi wanted to treat in this 
literal project throughout his personal vision to the  world.
