الخلاصة:
This dissertation introduces the analyses of the verbal interaction between a radio entertainer and listeners (audience) in the context of the programm “NESS NESS” on the radio Algerian 3rd channel, dealing with the theme of “Algerian popular expressions”. It analyses the importance relative to the phenomenon of code switching and the function it can take.
The approach was made by the collection of the natural data between the radio entertainer and the listeners (the audience).
The objective is to observe code switching in language use, where two varieties are present, and their effects over the language practice.
The analysis of the results has demonstrated that code switching has several functions; depending on situations in which the participants are, he desires to express an emotion, to get closer to the entertainer.
Finally, we have also shown in this dissertation (memoire) the existence of the cultural dimension that governs the choice of languages
