Abstract:
The question lexical innovation is evidently main in Language Sciences
projects. It is also highly variable depending on the options and theoretical projects
in various disciplines. Knowing that all languages take a social dynamic, the lexicon
of languages used in Algeria is in continuous evolution. The objective of this study
research is to present, in a synchronic perspective, some neologisms extracted from
a journalistic corpus, classified according to the typology of creative processes
regarding to simple and complex unities of language.
Written press is the area in which we can observe lexical creations including
many domains of every day life. Our research tries also to light up this
phenomenon, to show that journalistic neologisms are not due to the only need for
designated a new actuality, but their opening in this type of discourse is linked at
different factors, and it must be studied, taking into consideration conditions in
which there are produced. In conclusion, we underline that their functions, these
neologisms are an essential linguistic tool in the Algerian journalistic discourse.
