Abstract:
Football is the most popular sport spectacle, that attracts many young Algerians.
It allows them to distinguish themselves and affirm their belonging to a national and /
or local identity.
In our work, we were interested in a specific group of fans who contribute to
develop new forms of supportism to create a better atmosphere in the stadiums. Not
only, they create songs to animate the stands, but also, ""they are proud to be the main
source of ambiance and to be recognized for it by the players"" (Hourcade, 2002: 27).
As a result, they do not hesitate to communicate even in blogs, forums and facebook to
better structure their group and better organize their behavior.
The need for these fans to demonstrate their belonging to a community, that of
football and to appropriate an identity that is different from others, makes their speech
a rich field for the study of linguistics phenomena.
In this perspective, we describe and attempt to explain the distribution of
languages in the speech of fans, then, we engage in the analysis of the phenomenon of
lexical creativity. Finally, we highlight the different themes addressed by the fans.
For the realization of our study we relied on the analysis of two types of corpus
reflecting the way these fans express themselves. The first is an oral corpus which is
constituted by the transcription of the texts of the fans' songs. As for the second, it is a
written corpus elaborated from the messages published in the pages of the fans on the
social network Facebook
