Abstract:
Our research work is entitled “Bursting Themes and Discursive Plurality in the Work of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt”. Focused mainly on two poles, thematic and writing Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, our literary reflection has for target to understand the construction and operation of Schmittien’s work. Moreover, understanding the challenge and creative style of the author contributed to define the contours of his work .The question of the search for identity of the characters of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt is also relevant to our research.
Characterized by its variety, our corpus contains five novels. In addition, the compilation covers two collections of short stories and a theater piece. Our literary reflection entails three major parts: An author, a work and thematic plurality, Transtextual and intratextual analysis and Writing and myth. To start with,
understanding the thematic sequence and its recurrence in the core of Schmitt’s literary work was our first research objective. In this respect, we analysed the themes of the mirror, the duplication, the love, the death, the woman and the migration in Schmitt’s work. Then, the design and construction of the work of EricEmmanuel Schmitt contain transtextual and intratextual analysis. In this regard, the second part includes four chapters. The revelation of paratextual selection, intertexual and hypertexual dimension structure the concept of transtextuality. The intratexual analysis assumes the phenomenon of restricted intertextuality and
autarkic intertextuality that have been recorded in the work of our author.
Moreover, the concept of integration reveals the textual dimension. As such, performing intratextual analysis is an analytical investigation to assimilate internal redundancy of the work of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt.
The third part of our research work is oriented on writing and myth. Our first goal is to evade the mystery of Schmitt's writing and understand the importance attributed to the myth. In this perspective, the temptation to decipher the embedded script, the epic writing and legendary writing is a useful contribution for our university
research.
