الخلاصة:
Both colour and sound are considered among the most important elements that formed the framework of poetic images in poems of the fifth Andalusian century (AH). Hence, the use of colour and sound in expression was the main aesthetic feature which has been clarified in thl? current study by means of texts introspection and discovering their aesthetic features according to a descriptiveanalytical approach. This approach is based on reading and psychoanalysis process.
To achieve the aim of this study, this latter has been divided into three sections.
The first section is devoted to the theoretical background about the aesthetic qualities of colours and sounds in poetry, whereas the second and the third sections are practically devoted to clarify the different aesthetic employments of these main elements through two levels of denotations: direct sensory denotations and symbolic moral ones.
Finally, the study reaches in its conclusion a number of results such as:
1- The use of colour and1 sound in poetic texts of the fifth century (AH) came mostly
to figure out sensory tendency. Poets meant to use these elements themselves and for themselves in order to transfer sensory, visual and auditory data with emphasis on the fact that both colour and sound have passed the apparent limits of expression in some texts to denote symbolic,psychological and social implications.
Those implications differ with the varied contexts and purposes.
2- Black and white were in the lead to be applied by poets in expression using colours. Moreover, bird's chanting and crying came at first as sounds appliedin the auditory expression.
3- There was a shift in the implications of some colours and sounds;
they imply new denotations. For example,white colour has been used to denote grief,pain and death unlike black which turned out in some examples to imply happiness and beauty.
As well as some sounds, poets could displace them into the subjective symbolic experimental field rather than their concrete and symbolic qualities.
For example, the sound of pigeons,crow and river.
