Abstract:
The work described in this manuscript is part of the general problem of exploration
possibilities to control synthesis and physical properties of coordination complexes based on
transition metals and the 2-hydroxy-1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidenehydrazide benzoic acid (H2L).
This manuscript summarizes synthesis and determination of some coordination complexes
obtained with H2L ligand and some transition metals like MnII, CdII et ZnII.
A series of manganese (II) complexes was prepared, which two, have the formulas [Mn2( µ-
Cl)2(Cl)2(H2O)2(HL)2] et [Mn(HL)2(Py)2]1,5. Py. MeCN. These complexes have been characterized
by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Magnetic properties of
bBinuclear complex have been investigated.
Another series of three complexes based on CdII have been subject to structural and
fluorescent studies: monomeric [Cd(HL)2(MeOH)2], trimeric [MeOH2][Cd2Na(HL)6] and
polymeric {Cd(HL)2} n.
Structural ant fluorescent characterisation of two monomeric [Zn(H2L)2(Cl)2(MeOH)2 ;
[Zn(H2L)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 and polymeric {Zn(HL)2} n complexes have been described lastly
