Abstract:
The city of Jijel, this big and small city , has known along its evolution a real dynamic and multiples mutations; from growth around the colonial center to suburbanization, till the conurbation and the formation of the urban group Jijel ,the urban growth and sprawl have resulted in longer distances traveled between its different urban areas, and an increase in the number of trips exercised by its inhabitants ,therefore, have generates also congestion and large traffic black spots in specific places especially entrances and exits of the city as well as the historic centre and the commercial one. The mobility of tourists , students ,plus the commercial movements are not the only causes of this critical mobility situation in jijel .the degradation of its urban structure and the inability of its road network, informal and non compliant, have aggravated the problems of mobility, due the good management of the transport sector and the good coverage of the park and line at the city . As a result, this study aims to highlight the interaction between urban growth and mobility in urban group Jijel, following the accelerated evolution of the car fleet and the intensive use of the car. To show the need to coordinate urban planning and mobility planning , and finally to propose solutions and alternatives of organization and management shared and integrated ,ensuring interrelationship between sectors, interaction between interests and interdependence between interventions , involving all local actors in transport and urban planning sectors , and all economic or social partners , in the context of urban governance and with the aim of ensuring a healthy and clean sustainable living environment.
