Abstract:
The city of Constantine is one of the Algerian cities with an important strategic situation it is very attractive and has considerable economic advantages and services. The increase in population is linked to the diversity of land use and equipment, whose number and size have increased considerably. Our present research examined and identified the diversity of land use in Constantine, as well as the impact of the location of the city on the quality of this equipment through the communal delegations. This was done using the spatial analysis method, and studying the distribution of land use at the level of these delegations, and the adequacy of the distribution with the population density. We also revealed the existence of divergences and disparities between the communal delegations. This had a negative impact on the urban fabric of the city of Constantine, which is mainly submitted to the policy of urgent solutions, without taking into account the long term and the consequences that may result. This has created an unbalanced space in terms of land use because it is vital and dynamic at the center and inanimate and austere at the periphery. This prompted us to rationalize the various equipment in order to remedy the situation and its repercussions on the population in the first place, then on the space.
