Abstract:
The development themes are the target of a large number of studies, with human
purposes, urban planning and sustainable development go hand in hand, the urban population
continues to rise, everyone is looking for a picture of the development sustainable, as there is
an option, but it's an inevitable international commitment in this context comes our study
urban planning and sustainable development in the town of Tebessa, one of the most
prestigious cities of the high plains of Eastern Algeria. In some aspects addressed or relevant
dimensions nearby, representing future fateful paris for urban sustainability, such as the
historical dimension and physical urban heritage "enormous wealth need an assessment," the
environmental dimension, the socio-economic dimension.
The examination shows the size of the challenges to be filed, to the plight of
monuments related to known civilizations of successive and overlapping, and the need to
redevelop using the appropriate method (restoration and rehabilitation, renovation), especially
for the Roman historical center, natural study shows that the future of the city awaited change
of serious climate impacts on water resources of groundwater, crisis signs of scarcity water is
now clear with the strong growth of the population and its needs, the irrational exploitation of
this vital resource, it is no different for other environmental dimensions (lack of green space
and the need to care for the environmental noise pollution and air and dysfunction of traffic)
and the heterogeneity of the social level position requires an end to the random horizontal
growth of the city, rehabilitating environmental merits, and the promotion of alternative
energies and transporting less damage to the environment through the adoption of specific
