dc.description.abstract |
Our work focuses on the comparative study of tribological and thermal behavior of dry sliding contacts for copper-graphite and graphite-graphite pairs with and without electrical current. For this purpose, a series of experimental tests were carried out on several samples using a pin-disc tribometer on which will be mounted a device to ensure the passage of electric current. Characterisation techniques were used to analyze changes in the surface chemistry and topography of tribo-contacts. these analyzes indicate that the electric current, the normal load, the sliding speed and the nature of the material have a more or less important influence on the tribological behavior of the materials pair and on the effect of the oxide layer created in the interface of the antagonists. Analytical (Archard) and numerical (COMSOL Multiphysics) modelling are present in this study to calculate the friction coefficient and contact temperature, and to compare them
with the experimental results obtained. A good concordance was recorded. |
