Abstract:
In todayřs competitive and dynamic environment, organizations face a set of competitive challenges compelling the need to rethink their health and safety management practices for better achieving their missions. Organizations use many management tools and organizational development management processes to improve their health and safety performance however even good strategies fail during implementation. The remaining challenge is to formulate an integrated management strategy that considers all demands and expectations of stakeholders. In this context, this thesis discusses mechanisms aiming to succeed strategic management approaches to health and safety at work by promoting cooperation, alignment and involvement of employees to improve the perseverance in pursuit of health and safety goals.
