Abstract

The object of this research is to study on the one hand the re ality of library user education in the central universities libraries, and on the other hand, to study the users level info rmation literacy, and to find out the factors that have an imp act or may affect this information literacy. On the basis of the results obtained, we have deduced that : 1-- The level of information literacy of our population is lim ited.It seems that it is the product of the educative, the pedagogical and the organization factors linked to the library. 2-- There is a lack of library user education in almost the Algerian universities libraries.
