Abstract:
Our survey of the aquatic Hemiptera of North-eastern Algeria recorded
thirty-six (36) species, twenty-eight (28) of these were new to the area sampled.
We provide data concerning their distribution, phenology and status.
The data was analysed using multivariate analysis (A.F.C.) and results
suggest several factors (latitude, altitude, predation, etc.) structuring the aquatic
Hemiptera communities.
Several species are endangered and their protection and that of their
habitats are urgently needed.
