الخلاصة:
The study in El Eulma Wilaya of Setif to aim from the determination of bilirubin by
atomic absorption spectrophotometry, its variations depending variants: sex, age, race and
region of origin of cattle, intervals to determine their values usual, to classify cases of
jaundice in the region, to finally determine the prevalence of these cases of jaundice.
This detailed comparative study allowed the investigation of the influence of
parameters: age, sex, breed of cattle.
The results show that the usual intervals of values of total bilirubin, direct and indirect
are : 0,07 – 0,8 mg/ 100 ml, 0,08 – 0,28 mg/100 ml, and 0,10 -0,61 mg/100 ml.
This study show the presence of two types of jaundice: Hemolytic, and hepatic, with
prevalence higher in August compared to the months of September and October.
