dc.description.abstract Thin iron oxide layers Fe2O3were synthesized successfully using (FeCLଷ, 6HଶO),as precursor, ethanol as solvent and acetic acid as catalyst according to the Sol-Gel process and spin-coating technique. The evolution of the optical, structural of these films was split into two parts. The first deals with the effect of the concentration of the solution of deposit.The second part is devoted to the effect of thickness of iron oxide layers thin films. For that, various techniques of investigation were used: The structural properties of the films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy, and optical properties by the UV-Vis spectroscopy. Structural characterisation ofFe2O3 thin films by DRX and Raman spectroscopyhas proved theformation of Hematite phase (α-Fe2O3) size with determined structure. UV-Visible spectroscopy has been used for the determination of optical gap and for calculating crystallites size. This study shows a singular behaviour of optical transmission characterized by two bearings and a clear dependence of optoelectronic parameters with film thickness.
