dc.description.abstract Renewable energies are particularly interesting. Indeed, they are permanent, clean and no dangerous for environment. In this work, we were interested by photovoltaic solar energy. It is obtained by direct conversion of solar rays into electricity. Many branches exist in this field. They are characterized by the employed materials and the involved technology. However, the ratio price/efficiency is the main problem. Actually, the branch organic materials become an interesting field of research because of their lower prices. However, the efficiency of these based solar cells are very low. In this work, we have performed an investigation by simulation to predict the output characteristics of such solar cells. We have used the AMPS-1D software which has been released with the permission of Penn Sylvania State University. We have studied two structures where the active layer was based on poly(3-hexylthiophen) (P3HT) and [6-6]-phenyl-C61-butanoate of methyl (PCBM) materials. We have performed considerable efforts to run the program and obtain favorable efficiencies. Several parameters have been taken into account such as the thickness of the active layer and temperature. The obtained results were good and in agreement with literature.
