dc.description.abstract In this work, we have synthesized copper oxides through ecofrindly method using two different concentration of Aloe vera , Opuntia ficus indica leaves extract, we also synthesized nanoparticles by another green method using different concentrations of D glucose. The morphological characterizations by SEM show a change in the shape of the Cu2 O particles as a function of the concentration of used ecological solvent. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the samples prepared with Aloe vera extract and D glucose have a cubic structure corresponding to the pure cuprous oxide (Cu2O) phase, whereas the samples synthesized with the extract of Opuntia ficus indica leaves show a biphase structure of synthesis nanoparicles, Cu2O and CuO. FT-IR spectroscopy is used to distinguish the different chemical components present in the synthesized nanoparticles. UV-vis analysis spectroscopy allowed us to determine the optical properties of nanoparticles such as absorption and gap energy. The photocatalytic activity of prepared nanoparticles showed an excellent degradation of methylene blue (70% after 3 min) and disappeared completely after 10 min.
