dc.description.abstract This work is a part of our research program on the Algerian plants of the family Fabaceae. Flavonoids are natural substances that play a protective role, due to their biological activities. Therefore, our work is oriented to the extraction, the separation, the purification and the structure determination of the flavonoid compounds of two species of the kind Genista : G. aspalathoides Lamk. ssp. erinaceoides (Lois) And G. quadriflora Munby. The phytochemical screening performed on these two species allowed to the identification of several chemical groups in particular flavonoids and isoflavonoids. The fulfillment of this work required the use all liquid-phase chromatography battery and the use of the most successful modern methods of phsiycal and chemical analysis, in particular, the mono and bidimensional spectroscopy of nuclear magnetic resonance (RMN 1H, RMN 13C, COSY, HSQC, HMBC), the spectroscopy of ultraviolet absorption and the high resolution mass spectroscopy. All these methods allowed us to establish the isolated structures of the ethyl acetate phase and the chloroform phase of the hydro alcoholic extract of the two studied species. Finally, the results of biological tests performed on both species G. quadriflora Munby and G. aspalathoides Lamk. ssp. erinaceoides, in particular the test on the antioxidant activity (DPPH test) were satisfactory. The originality of this work is crowned by several publications in international reviews.
