dc.description.abstract This work focused on the study of air pollution using two woody species ( Acacia retinoides and Nerium oleander ) as bio indicators of this type of pollution, while along the east-west highway in the region of Constantine ( section Constantine Chalghoum El - Aid) . In this context, six stations were selected for the collection of both species, the levy relates primarily foliage sampled in three companion (May, June and September) corresponding to the three stages of development of each (flowering , fruiting and ripening ) . Physiological parameters (chlorophyll, proline and soluble sugars) and morphological (leaf area ratio, material Fraiche dry matter) were measured as well as the quantification of suspended particles from the six sampling stations on both sides of the East West Highway (Back and forth). The test for the analysis of variance for a factor (effect stations) to be a very highly significant difference for the physiological and morphological parameters, while the particles in suspensions for the same test was not significant. The test of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to revealed spatiotemporal correlations between physiological and morphological parameters of the two species Acacia retinoides and Nerium oleander which consequently reveal their tolerance to particulate pollution during the three stages of development.
