Abstract

"The objective of this work is part of the rationalization of fertilization by the appreciation of the mineral nutrition of vines. The approach we have followed is that the survey focused primarily on the observation of existing vegetation (eye diagnosis) and analyzes of leaves (foliar diagnosis) and soils. Eight representative vineyards of the Skikda region were selected on basis of a detailed technical questionnaire. The results we have achieved through our various investigations, show that fertilization is conducted empirically (foliar symptoms, lack of fertilizer, nutrient deficiencies) and mineral nutrition is unsteady in all vineyards studied."
