dc.description.abstract The Culicidae causes grave damages both to the man and to the animals by their potential vector roles of infectious diseases, such as the malaria, the yellow fever, the dengue, the filariose and the plague. The wet zone Sebkhet Ezzemoul and Chott Tinsilt are sites considered to establish a systematic inventory and study the ecology of mosquitoes. To this end, we analyzed their habitat by the determination of ecosystem surface water physicochemical parameters, followed their spatial and temporal variations and their Culicidae various species impacts. The species identified belong to two subfamilies: Anophélinae with one genus Anopheles and Culicinae with three genera Aedes, Culiseta and Culex. The Aedes genus is represented best by far particularly with the species Aedes dorsalis, Aedes detritus and Aedes caspius, which the presence is in relation to the type of prospected lodging. In this study, the salinity seems to be a parameter determining in the distribution of collected species.
