Abstract

Criminal mediation is considered one of the modern procedural systems in Algerian law, which aims to reduce the crisis that the criminal justice regime suffers from, by allowing the parties of the criminal proceedings to participate in the administration of the conflict, by opening consultation and negotiation channels on the amicable settlement of the criminal dispute, and this falls exclusively within the specific scope of specific crimes, under the supervision and control of the public prosecutor as representative of the community, This is a new model of criminal justice based on consensus and adequacy in the resolution of disputes of a criminal nature.
