This study entitled : reality of insurance of foreign trade in Algeria treats the place and role of insurance contracts in our foreign trade.
These contracts are considered us effective partners for our traders because of the guarantees offered by them. They ensure goods and many importer equipment against different risks of transport (maritime, air and land) and are important certificates requested at the opening of a bank credit because of the guarantees offered by them to the banks. They also accompany the exporter during the different stages of the export transaction and facilitate obtaining financing for its exports.
Their impact is not limited on economic operators, but it also extends to the national economy.
We found that this type of insurance appears limited. It affects a minority of traders. It should be extended to a larger number. This will demand concerted efforts between governments, insurance companies and different stakeholders in the field of foreign trade. |
