| dc.description.abstract |
This thesis focuses on the synthesis of new porous coordination polymers based on pyromellitic acid. The crystal structures of the hybrid materials have been solved from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data and the thermal
behaviours have been studied by thermogravimetry (ATG and ATD). Likewise, the influence of the bond strength within the hydrogen-bonding network on both the structure stability has been evidenced within these architectures.
So in our current work, we have utilized the rigid H4btec ligand and introduced two different flexible ligands, oxalic acid, and fumaric acid, to develop a new H4btec linker family of alkali/alkaline earth coordination polymer: [Sr2(H2btec)(C2O4)(H2O)2]n (1), [Sr2(H2btec)(C2O4)(H2O)4]n (2), and [K2(fum)(H4btec)(H2O)2]n (3). The compound [Sr2(btec)(H2O)]n (4), it’s an open-framework coordination polymer (MOFs), is formed from two-dimensional inorganic layers
pillared by btec ligand to give a porous three-dimensional structure. The compound [Sr2(btec)(H2O)6]n (5), It consists of parallel layers bridged by btec ligands to generate the final two-dimensional structure. The other two compounds of formulas: [(H4btec)(C6H4(OH)2)] (6) and [(H2btec) 2(NH4)+] (7) respectively, can be described as infinite chains connected by hydrogen bonds. |
