dc.description.abstract This paper presents a novel approach for determining the optimal placement and sizing of photovoltaic (PV) systems in power distribution networks. The proposed methodology employs Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to minimize voltage deviations and system losses while maintaining network constraints. The algorithm was tested on the IEEE 14-bus test system, demonstrating significant improvements in voltage profiles and reduction in power losses. Results show that strategic placement of PV systems can achieve up to 7.74% reduction in system losses while improving voltage profiles by 3.45%. The proposed method provides utilities with a practical tool for optimal PV integration planning in distribution networks. fr_FR
